Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has appeared to hit out at the Football Association after they decided against charging Charlie Austin for comments he made after Southampton’s match against Watford.The Saints were held to a 1-1 draw by the Hertfordshire club last weekend, and Austin was furious at full-time as a strike of his – which would have put Southampton two goals ahead – was ruled out by the officials.3

Austin’s spectacular post-game rant went viral on social media

Maya Yoshida was in an offside position and was deemed to have interfered with Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster when Austin fired off his shot, and the Hornets pegged Southampton back to secure a share of the spoils.In a television interview held after the match, Austin vented his frustration.“Its ridiculous, they shouldnt be in the game,” he said.We scored a perfectly good goal that was ruled out for offside.
